How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

Our dearest, friend. I remember how kind you always were and recall seeing you at Z Hills HS when I subbed there years ago. The kids loved you. Thanks for your kind giving spirit that influenced so many.

Hi Mom, I wish we could have talked longer. It’s a good thing we have wildflowers. I love you with a love that is to be continued… me

BILLY LATSON PHS Class of 1965

I am so sorry for being late due to illness in sending a memoriam on behalf of the PHS Class of 1965 to our dear, sweet, classmate. I hope her family forgives me, but even having belatedly sent this sad goodbye, it gave me the time to go through the dictionary to try and find descriptive words for our sweet classmate. Alas, it was impossible! There were not words enough that would do justice to her. I can only offer some of the words that Ben Franklin sent in a letter to Elizabeth Hubbart upon the death of her stepfather, Ben Franklin” brother when he said: ” I condole with you, we have lost a most dear and valuable relation, but it is the will of God and Nature that these mortal bodies be laid aside, when the soul is to entr real life; ’tis rather an embrio state, a preparation for living; a man is not completely born until he be dead: Why then should we grieve that a new child is among the immortals? A new member added to their happy society? …………..Our friend and we are invited aboard on a party of pleasure——-that is to last forever. Her chair was first ready and she is gone before us. We could not all conveniently start together, and why should you and I be grieved at this, since we are soon to follow, and we know where to find her. Adieu. Sleep peacefully dear classmate in the heaven you deserve, and save a chair for us. PHS Class of 1965

I’ve never felt right calling her Camille. Our running goofiness was me seeing her and shouting, “Heeeeeyyyyyy Camille! ” and she would shout back, “Heyyy Rob” in her trademark southern drawl. Ms. Reynolds taught science when I was in ninth grade; she was passionate and she cared about us. She enjoyed watching me grow in my career and when I became a teacher at ZHS she really became a friend, mentor trusted ally. She did everything she could to help me become better and I could never repay her for being such a great person for me. I am so saddened by this news and I hope she rests in peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting Camille when I was in high school. She was my science teacher. I always got in trouble by her as I liked to talk a lot. Then, I had the pleasure of working side by side with her as a teacher, she was Amazing. Camille loved to help others and I will really miss her. RIP Camille

I had the pleasure of working with Camille at ZHS for a number of years. She was a great lady with a spunk like no other. We had some awesome conversations. Somewhere along the journey I found out she was Larkin’s mom and was excited because Larkin and I were friends in high school. It was a full circle moment. Camille was always willing to answer my questions and hep me out when needed. She will be missed. Sending prayers and love to her family. Rest Easy, Camille.

I had the pleasure of working with Camille during her last few years at ZHS. She was so knowledgeable and always willing to help me out. Condolences to her family.

Gail Reynolds

Camille and I were colleagues at ZHS. Occasionally I’d get a call regarding a vexing tech problem. Clearly, the caller had the wrong Mrs. Reynolds. What I did appreciate is when Camille helped us with our computer problems she was always patient and understanding, even when the solution was something simple, such as securing a loose plug. She was the perfect person to lead a bunch of tech novices into the 21st Century.
